Facilities
Long Scraggy Ranch has a range of facilities to host you and your group. We have options for any size group from one person to about 130 people.
Larger groups have exclusive use of the 40 acre ranch and all of its facilities. Group rates include a daily use fee plus an additional fee per person in your group. This rate structure gives a discount to larger groups while also allowing smaller groups to rent the whole ranch.
For small groups, families or individuals we have a lower cost option of renting individual cabins and rooms for a nightly fee. This is a lower cost option for groups smaller than 40 people. You still have access to the whole ranch and all of its facilities, but you may end up sharing the common facilities, such as the roundhouse and pool, with other small groups or families.
All cabins and facilities can be rented for a nightly fee. Access to all amenities is included with your stay.
You can also rent Long Scraggy Mountain Ranch by the hour, or for a day, for special occasions such as graduations, anniversary celebrations, birthday parties, weddings, and community events.
Long Scraggy Ranch is open year around. Summer is a great time to stay at the ranch and all the facilities are open throughout the summer. However, spring, fall, and winter also are a great time to stay at the ranch. The pool typically is open by Memorial Day weekend and stays open through around the end of September. The bathhouse and Grand Fir are open from May 1 through mid-October. The rest of the facilities are available to rent throughout the year.
When it is cold or rainy outside the double fireplace in the roundhouse offers a cozy location to gather. The rooms are insulated and heated making your stay very comfortable.
Our Facilities include the following:
- The Ponderosa bunkhouse consists of 7 rooms that sleep 9 on single beds.
- The Juniper cabin consists of 2 rooms that sleep 9 on single beds.
- The 2 canvas wall tents sleep 9 on cots.
- The Clems cabin sleeps 9 on single beds.
- The Aspen cabin sleeps up to 4 people.
Guests in the above cabins use a central bathhouse which contains toilets, sinks, and showers.
- The Grand Fir cabin sleeps up to 4 and has its own bathroom and a small kitchen.
- The Pines cabin contains 4 rooms that sleeps up to 6 individuals each. Each room in the Pines has its own bathroom.
There are 2 additional restrooms with showers located at the Roundhouse for guest use.
Our Facility includes Tent and Trailer Camping. Water and Electric is available. We also have premative sites located further away from the main camp for those who enjoy the wilderness.
Meeting Area Kitchen and Dining
All guest have access to the Roundhouse. It is centrally located and holds up to 110 people in the main room and is home to a large commercial kitchen with a large stove, refrigerator, and freezer. A commercial dishwasher and a regular dishwasher are available as well. The Roundhouse can be a central gathering location and also can serve as a dining hall. For large groups there is a walk-in freezer and refrigerator located adjacent to the Roundhouse for convenient food storage.
The ranch has activities for all ages. It is surrounded by National Forest and its many trails. Onsite there is an indoor heated swimming pool, shuffleboard, 18 hole disc golf course, archery range, rifle range, fishing pond, fire pits, playground, and a small challenge course.
Over Night Visits
Long Scraggy hosts large groups, smaller groups, families and individuals. All cabins and facilities can be rented for a nightly fee. Access to all amenities is included with your stay.
