Recreation

The Pike National Forest surrounds the Ranch on three sides so hiking is abundant. The resident directors can assist you with planning hikes. The Ranch has areas for swimming, volleyball, basketball, softball, horseshoes, Frisbee golf, shuffleboard, ping-pong, archery and 22-caliber rifle target shooting. Equipment that must be furnished by you includes softball gloves, guns, ammunition, bows, arrows, and targets. The Ranch has other standard equipment for these activities; however, because of heavy use, you may be more content by bringing your own sports equipment.

There is playground equipment for children. There are some books and board games in the Roundhouse.

Telephone

There is a phone available to the leaders of your group in the Roundhouse. Only local calls, toll-free 800 calls, 911 calls or operator-assisted collect calls are allowed.

             Cell phone coverage has not yet arrived on the Ranch grounds.

Other Facilities

Crafthouse: Tables and benches appropriate for working on many kinds of craft projects.

Chapel: Covered, open on three sides. Bench seating.  Piano. (small keyboard available also)

Bathhouse: Showers, sinks, toilets—one side for women, one side for men.

Pool: Enclosed building. Heated pool used May through September. Dressing rooms and bathrooms.

Picnic Pavilion: Covered area with picnic tables, also has electric outlets.

Large Outdoor Grill.

Laundry

There is a coin-operated washer and dryer behind the Pines. Cost is $1.00 for washing, $0.50 for drying. 

Soft Drinks

A soft drink machine is located in front of the Roundhouse, under the Ranch bell. Cost is $0.50. Please take care in disposing of your empty cans. An aluminum-recycling receptacle is positioned next to the soft drink machine.
